Industrial Water Purification Plant Aviko Steenderen

In the water purification plant, the water from potato processor Aviko Steenderen is treated. This installation is managed and owned by Waterstromen. The water is pumped by a 5 km pressure pipeline to the IWZI of Waterstromen Olburgen, where the water is treated together with the seprated liquid of the digester of WWTP Olburgen. In the installation, not only organic matter is converted into biogas, but raw materials are also recovered and processed into fertilizer. It is therefore fair to speak of an energy and raw materials factory.
