Industrial Water Purification Plant Aviko Lomm

In the water purification plant, the water from potato processor Aviko Lomm is treated. This installation is located on the property of Aviko Lomm and is managed and owned by Waterstromen. Waterstromen and Aviko work together to achieve maximum purification results, reliable operational management and sustainable water treatment with optimal use of biogas at Aviko.

Used techniques

  • Soil reclamation, reprocessing and marketing
  • Collect starch chips by thickening with a decanter
  • Separate starch by means of sedimentation
  • Methane reactor (UASB)
  • Aerobic post-treatment (conventional activated sludge)
  • Organic desulfurization + activated carbon filter (<10 ppm H2S)
  • Supply of biogas to Aviko
  • Delivery of washing water for potato sorting
